Our team was formed in response to a need within our own community. United by music and purpose, we aim to raise awareness for BPAN, a rare neurological disorder that urgently needs more research and funding. Beta-Propeller Protein–Associated Neurodegeneration is still widely unknown, and progress depends on increased visibility and financial support.

Through music-driven events and partnerships, Duets Across America raises funds that go directly toward BPAN research, helping to change lives and move science forward.

Nili Yudice

I am the Executive Director of Parent Infant Programs and an Inclusion Specialist Consultant for Butte County Office of Education and Thermalito Unified School District.

I have dedicated my career to playing an active role supporting children and families in my community and beyond that have developmental delays and disabilities. I was drawn to Duets Across America because I am inspired to support funding for research and awareness for Duet and children like her all over the world!

Katherine Wyman

I am a singer/songwriter and mother to Duet. I am passionate about spreading awareness of my daughter’s rare disease and fundraising through the power of music.

Board Treasurer

Dayna "Coot" Wyman

Coot (also known as Cootdog) is a producer, musician, and frontman of the Mystic Roots Band, as well as a radio, nightclub, and event DJ. He is a well-known and active member of the Chico, California community.

Coot is also the proud father of two children—his son, Lake Anthony, and his daughter, Duet Mandalay, who was diagnosed with BPAN in 2021. He currently serves as Treasurer of Duets Across America, dedicating his time, energy, and resources toward improving quality of life and advancing research for his daughter and others living with BPAN.

Bill Buxton

With more than 25 years of experience in the restaurant and bar industry, Bill brings extensive leadership and operational expertise to his role. His career includes eight years opening new locations and training teams for nationally recognized brands such as Outback Steakhouse, BJ’s Brewhouse, and Macaroni Grill.

Through his work with Duets Across America, Bill is focused on expanding public awareness of BPAN, increasing community engagement, and supporting initiatives that help individuals and families affected by BPAN pursue full, meaningful lives.
