Striking a Cord with BPAN

We would like to take a minute and introduce the hearts behind Duets Across America. We feel that together, we can use music to raise awareness and funding for BPAN research.

Team

Dedication. Expertise. Passion.

We have come together because of a need in our own community. We feel we can work together, using music, and raise awareness on a rare brain disorder, BPAN. Beta-Propeller Protein Associated Neurodegeneration (BPAN) needs more research, which means more funding, to change these lives. We intend to use music to work towards this goal. Our funding raised goes towards research.

Jenny Lowrey

I have been involved with charity work for many years now as Director of From the Ground Up, but knew had I to get involved with this DUETS ACROSS AMERICA project to raise awareness about BPAN and to help tell Duets story. It is my extreme honor to be involved in this project, and to work alongside Duets family and fellow board members, to make a difference and to raise funding for BPAN research.

Katherine Wyman

I am a singer/songwriter and mother to Duet. I am passionate about spreading awareness of her daughter’s rare disease and fundraising through the power of music.

Board Secretary

Nili Yudice

I am the Executive Director of Parent Infant Programs and an Inclusion Specialist Consultant for Butte County Office of Education and Thermalito Unified School District.

I have dedicated my career to playing an active role supporting children and families in my community and beyond that have developmental delays and disabilities. I was drawn to Duets Across America because I am inspired to support funding for research and awareness for Duet and children like her all over the world!

Board Treasurer

Dayna "Coot" Wyman

Coot aka cootdog is a producer/musician/frontman of the Mystic Roots Band. Also a radio/nightclub/event DJ, he is a prominent member of his local Chico, CA community. Proud father of his two children: his son Lake Anthony and his daughter Duet Mandalay, who was diagnosed with BPAN in 2021. Coot currently serves as Treasurer of Duets Across America, hoping to dedicate his time and resources towards finding a cure and quality of life for his daughter and those like her.
